
Dr. Ted Klontz is the co-author of Mind Over Money and the co-founder/President of www.YourMentalWealth.com, along with his son Brad, with over 40 years of counseling experience.
Recognized as a pioneer in the emerging field of financial psychology, Dr. Klontz has his own private consulting practice in Nashville, TN working with individuals, couples, and families ranging from all walks of life including athletes, entertainers, heirs, entertainment companies and financial planning practices. He also serves as a consultant to Flood, Bumstead, McCready, and McCarthy, a major entertainment management group and for Onsite Workshops & Retreat Center, an internationally acclaimed recovery organization, and as an educator working with corporate groups teaching supervisory communication skills to improve productivity.
His long list of credits also extends to publishing where he’s co-authored: Mind Over Money, The Financial Wisdom of Ebenezer Scrooge, Wired for Wealth, Facilitating Financial Health, and served as a contributing author of Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul, as well as numerous professional articles. He has shared his expertise on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Larry King Live, ABC News’ 20/20, ABC’s “Good to Know” and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Money magazine, CNN, Time, Parade, and The New York Times and has been interviewed on NPR Marketplace, Martha Stewart Morning Living Sirius Radio and countless local and syndicated radio shows. He also speaks to groups of financial planners and counselors on various psychology of money topics. He was recently elected as the VP of the International Financial Therapy Association.
