Ted Klontz last coached the Howell baseball team nearly three decades ago, but a recent trip back to Howell for the annual baseball alumni game was a welcome reunion.
“It’s really good to catch up with people and catch up with their lives,” he said after the July 18 game. “It’s sort of sobering to realize a lot of good things have happened and a lot of tragedy, but it’s good to be supportive.”
Klontz left Howell in 1992 and now lives in Tennessee, where he works with professional athletes on what he calls anxiety management, and counsels people about money.
One of his clients was singer Wynonna Judd, who got an idea of her spending in a graphic way.
